In the world of college basketball sports betting, fans are always looking for that one freshman who stands out from the rest of the field. However, most fans and handicappers alike, sparingly ever look at UFC betting seniors, who have spent their entire four years improving from a relative unknown to one of the best players in the nation. Today we will be looking at some of the best seniors heading into 2011 – 12 seasons.
John Shurna Northwestern – Last season, Shurna really elevated his game to the next level, as he was able to hit roughly 43.4 percent of his shots from the three point line. At six feet eight inches tall, Shurna has exceptional size for a shooting guard. Shurna was expected to be a top 15 pick in the 2011 NBA draft, but instead chose to return to school, because of the lockout. John Shurna has been the leading scorer and centerpiece for Northwestern, the last couple of seasons. This year, he will try and guide Northwestern to a final four in the March Madness tournament.
Draymond Green Michigan State – Green has been one of the most consistent players for Tom Izzo’s Spartans throughout his NCAA career. Draymond is a solid defender but has yet to really develop an offensive side to his game. Meaning to say, entering the 2011 – 12 seasons, Draymond Green has been hard at work to develop his all around game. With Michigan State finishing with a disappointing 19 – 15 record a year ago, a more complete Green will be the key to success.
Jordan Taylor Wisconsin – Comparable to John Shurna from Northwestern, Jordan Taylor burst onto the college basketball scene in his junior year in 2010 – 11. Wisconsin as a whole turned heads last season, as they went on an extended run in the NCAA tournament. The main reason for the turn around, was the emergence of Taylor, who along with possessing great court IQ, also administered some great scoring runs in important situations.
